As Bristol City fans certainly continue to recover from Saturday’s disappointment, the club did receive good news regarding fallen star Bradley Orr.
The Robins defender was taken from the pitch and to the hospital after breaking his cheekbone while crashing heads with Nick Barmby.
The 25-year-old is expected to be back in training soon.
The operation went really well. I broke my eye socket in three places and my cheekbone too. I’m fine and I should be back to running in two weeks’ time. I look like the Elephant Man and will have to wear a mask for pre-season but apart from that I’m fine.
Honestly, I was fearing the worst for him after he went down in the first half at Wembley so this is wonderful news for both Orr and Bristol City fans.
